How to Use the AR Feature
Follow these steps to experience the 3D model in Augmented Reality (AR):
- Check Device Compatibility: Ensure you’re using a supported device. AR works best on modern smartphones or tablets with AR capabilities (e.g., iOS devices with ARKit or Android devices with ARCore).
- Locate the AR Icon: Look for the AR button in the bottom-right corner of the 3D model viewer. It typically looks like a cube or an AR symbol.
- Activate AR: Click the AR icon. Depending on your device and browser, one of these options may trigger:
- WebXR: On supported browsers (e.g., Chrome on Android), AR will launch directly in the browser.
- Scene Viewer: On Android devices with Google Play Services for AR, it may open the model in a scene viewer.
- Quick Look: On iOS devices (Safari), it will prompt you to view the model in AR using the USDZ file.
- Grant Permissions: Allow camera access when prompted to enable AR mode.
- Interact with the Model: Point your device at a flat surface, move it slowly to detect the plane, and place the model in your environment. You can resize or rotate it as needed.
